This week has been absolutely insane.
Between meetings, after school tutoring, professional development sessions, Christmas programs, ballet, and my husband working late, I don’t feel like I’ve had time to sit down!
I’m sure you can sympathize 🙂
Tonight, in addition to after school tutoring and a Christmas program, it’s Christmas party night at ballet! Last year, I totally wasn’t thinking and didn’t send treats for my daughter’s class. And I felt like the worst Mom ever!
Not happening again this year!
The treats my daughter is taking tonight are super simple and inexpensive to make. If you need a quick treat for your kiddos Christmas parties, check out my Candy Cane Christmas creation 🙂
- Miniature Candy Canes
- Hot Glue Gun
- Gift Tags
After warming up your glue gun, place a dot of glue on each end of one candy cane.
Next, position the candy canes to make a heart, pressing on the glue spots.
Then, place a dot of glue in the center of the heart. Tie your ribbon around the center of the candy cane heart, making sure to make the tie over the dot of glue.
Next, place another dot of glue on the cross of the ribbon, add a gift tag, then finish the knot.
Allow the glue to set, then curl your ribbon.
I cranked out about 20 of these during my planning period today, which was only about 25 minutes. Not too shabby for a crafting challenged person!
